wrapped in warmth...

I have a picture that keeps coming up on my computer screen saver... my cousin's newborn, held by my daughters in the hospital. He's wrapped in a hospital issued receiving blanket that's just a little blah looking. Now, if she'd only have another little one, we could wrap him (or her) in one of these lovlies...

perfect for your baby's babies!

When my girls were little, I had a lady make me a pair of doll sized quilts for them. They loved those quilts, and I was so happy that they played with them a lot. (I guess maybe that's what may have started me on my own quilting journey!)

And now, since I 've started quilting myself, I always seem to have leftovers when I sew... bits and pieces of this and that here and there. Well, all those bits and pieces added up, and I decided to make a few doll sized quilts of my own.

There is an animal and bug themed doll quilt in bright colors, a Noah's Ark scrappy nine patch in subtler colors, and a (mostly) jungle animal themed quilt in yellows, blacks, and neutrals. They are quilted and hand bound just like their larger cousins and are so sweet... perfect for your baby's babies!

babysitting/sewing day...

Yesterday I had this little hunny and one of his big sisters over for the day. Um, yeah... I guess I've forgotten how busy things are with a pre-toddler and pre-schooler in the house! Doesn't he look sweet wearing a Brown Bag Bibs' soother saver?

This is the project I had on the go while the kids were here... a new batch of bibs. Eight of them are spoken for (thanks ladies!) and I will get them off to you just as soon as I can!

Have a great afternoon!

giveaway winner(s)... and fabric choices...

Thank you all so much for your interest in my bibs! So... the winner of the three fall bibs is... Penny! Congratulations to Penny, who by the way is going to be a new Grandma! Please email me your address and I can get those sent off to you right away! And as a little bonus, since I have one more Hallowe'en bib on hand, I drew a second winner. And she is... Jennie! Congrats to you too! You know the drill... email me your addresss and the bib will be on its way! Thanks to all for commenting and entering!

And now, since I had a request to show some fabric options for custom bibs... here we go... I've tried to photograph them in themed catagories and I hope they make sense... click photos to enlarge...

funky florals - and - firefighter themed... {firefighter themed prints #3, #4, & #5 from the left are now sold out - thank you!}

foodies - and - camo...

transportation - and - Dick & Jane...

lots of animals - and - skulls & pirates (the skulls are very popular!)...

With most of the fabrics I've shown, I have lots on hand and can make several bibs... but a few are just enough for one bib. So... if you like something, please don't be shy to ask for it! (When you select, let's go from left to right in each grouping... for example, the animals with the brown background, fourth from the left.)
